This is a research and personal networking report conducted on the nexus between the digital media and music events industry in Australia and the USA. The form of this report is transmedial, using pictures and images to convey my findings, and it lives between Pinterest and this blog.
The Pinterest boards exist as a kind of contents page, structuring and organising all the content and directing the flow of how one should consume it. Start by clicking on the first Pinterest board on the left, 'The Start', and make your way through each board in a left to right manner. As you click on each board you will find a number of images that have been 'pinned' to that board. Each image coincides with a different topic, and the link displayed in the comment field of that picture will direct you to the relevant blog post that extends upon that topic.
I chose to create this report in this form because I felt that it was more relevant and intimately related to my career aspirations to work in digital media. Working in digital media requires the ability to work across a number of platforms and social networks, including blogs and content-sharing services such as Pinterest, and so I felt that this would be an appropriate form to present a report centred on that very topic. The content can also be consumed in a random format by clicking on the boards in no particular order, correlating to the way that hypertext and content on the web is often consumed in a non-linear sequence.
